Call the emergency number where you are now. Ask for an ambulance and give your exact location. If the person cannot be woken or is not breathing normally, act immediately.

While help is on the way

Call emergency services on speaker and follow the dispatcher.
If the person is unresponsive and not breathing normally, including only gasping, start CPR and use an AED if available. If trained and able, include rescue breaths; follow the dispatcher’s instructions.
Give naloxone if available, following the product’s directions. Do not delay CPR to look for it. Further doses may be needed as directed by the product or dispatcher.
Stay with the person. If they are unconscious but breathing normally, place them on their side. Emergency care is still needed after they improve because naloxone can wear off.
